Lighting by Material

Explore the texture, light and finish of decorative lighting, with material specifications confirmed for each model.

A material changes the way a light looks, feels and works in an interior. Explore a direction below, then confirm the actual composition, finish and care requirements for the design you choose.

Material illustrations are a guide to the palette. Request samples to confirm the colour, texture and finish for your brief.

Material questions

How do I distinguish natural alabaster from imitation stone?

Ask for the material specification and photographs of the actual sample in daylight and when illuminated. A product name or photograph alone is not enough to establish natural-stone composition. Natural veining and colour can vary between pieces.

Does a gold finish mean the light is made from brass?

No. Finish describes the surface appearance; brass describes a material. Confirm both the base material and finishing process in the model specification.

Can materials be combined in one collection?

Share the fixture types, colour palette and preferred materials. We can review a coordinated brief and identify the construction and sample details that need approval for each design.

Have a material reference?

Include a reference link, texture, colour and the fixture you want to develop. We will review the brief before confirming the production or sourcing route.
