Specifying Woven and PET Felt Lighting for Interiors

Specifying Woven and PET Felt Lighting for Interiors

Choose woven or felt decorative lighting by the complete fixture specification: material, shape, light-source arrangement and installation dimensions. Rattan, bamboo, wood and PET felt are distinct materials. A woven appearance does not establish composition, acoustic performance or suitability for every room.

Start with an actual material label

HPL-001455 is an upward-opening wavy-bowl pendant listed as Iron+Rattan. Its complete recorded fixture dimension is 870*H1090MM, with E27*3 light source and 100–240V input. The record includes a Rated Wattage field of 180W, whose per-bulb or total-load interpretation is not established. The bowl dimension and suspension length are not separately specified by that complete-fixture measurement.

HPL-001432 uses PET acoustic sound absorbing material in a radial petal shade, with E27*1 light source and AC 110–240V input. Listed body sizes are D35cm × H26cm and D50cm × H38cm. The material label does not include a tested absorption coefficient, fire classification or room-level acoustic result. Request relevant model and material evidence if those are project requirements.

Compare the light-source enclosure, not just the texture

An upward-opening bowl and a surrounding petal shade place material around the light source differently. Review the actual illuminated sample from the angles people will see in the room. Include the proposed bulb, suspension height and nearby surfaces when discussing the design. No photometric distribution, lumen output or glare-control performance is established by these catalogue images alone.

Questions for a hospitality or collection brief

  • Which material is specified for each part: rattan, bamboo, wood, PET felt or supporting metal?
  • Which body size, complete height, suspension and mounting arrangement are required?
  • What weaving, colour and texture variations are acceptable against the approved sample?
  • Which bulb or LED component, controls and destination-market electrical version are selected?
  • What cleaning guidance, assembly instructions and protective packing apply to the actual model?
  • Does the project require fire, acoustic or other documentation, and does the available evidence cover the selected material and complete fixture?

Agree these details before planning a repeated room schedule. Record the HPL model and configuration against each room or area so a later finish or size change remains visible. Include spare shades or replacement components as separate requests rather than assuming they accompany every order.

Buyer questions

Are rattan and bamboo interchangeable?

No. Keep the specified composition with the model. A substitution requires an updated specification and sample review; a similar weave does not make the materials identical.

Does PET felt lighting guarantee a quieter room?

No. The HPL-001432 material label alone supplies no measured room-level performance. Ask for relevant test data and project assessment when acoustic performance matters.

Can these catalogue records establish suitability for damp or wet areas?

No. Neither example establishes an IP rating here. State the environment and required documentation so the selected fixture can be reviewed.
